Shelburne Farms

Shelburne Farms is a nonprofit organization educating for a sustainable future. We collaborate with educators, schools, and other partners to advance Education for Sustainability in Vermont and internationally. We offer innovative programs and partnerships for educators, including the Sustainable Schools Project, a Forest for Every Classroom, a Watershed for Every Classroom, and the Farm-Based Education Network. Our campus for learning is a 1,400-acre working farm and National Historic Landmark, which includes a grass-based dairy and farmstead cheesemaking operation, an organic market garden, maple sugaring and sustainable lumber production, and an inn and farm-to-table restaurant. We serve 150,000 program participants and visitors annually on-site alone.
