2024 Impact by the Numbers

The farm to school and early childhood movement has been building for over 20 years here in Vermont and across the U.S. In the last five years, we have seen substantial growth at the local and state level, cultivating resilience for programs to endure disruptions like pandemics, funding cuts, extreme weather, and more. Now is a moment for us to use our creativity and strength to organize and prove the incredible impact of connecting students and schools meal programs to the local food system.

So in the spirit of celebrating the results of this work and underscoring the critical need for it, we’re sharing a look back at 2024 and some of the projects and collaborations that helped to move the farm to school movement forward.
