Farm to School Professional Learning Workshop for Burlington School District, K–8

Burlington educators, join Shelburne Farms Institute for Sustainable Schools for a professional learning workshop focused on integrating food systems, farm to school, and nutrition-based education within existing curriculum mandates for Burlington educators.

We’ll focus on hands-on practices to improve collaboration and communication between school nutrition staff, educators, and school staff; enhance curriculum integration of farm to school; and renew and invigorate the culture of farm to school across the school district and greater community.

This initiative builds on current partnerships between Shelburne Farms, Burlington School District, and Burlington School Food Project (BSFP). If your school received a Captain Planet Foundation's Project Learning Gardens grant this session will support you too! 

This opportunity is for K-8th grade educators and includes a $150 stipend for full-day participation.
