Courses and workshops

VT FEED leads and conducts courses and workshops throughout the year. 

New Course! "Food Institute: Healthy Eating Through the Seasons"-- designed to create an opportunity for school educators, food service, staff, parents and community members to network, collaborate, and expand food, farm and nutrition education in their classrooms, cafeterias and communities!

These credit-bearing courses will give participants an opportunity to explore ways to integrate food and wellness programs into exisiting curriculum, align farm-to-school programs with state standards, grade expectations, and the school wellness policy. Click here for an example sylabus.
 
The following courses are also offered for teacher professional development and continuing education. All courses can be conducted on-site, at schools, or at another venue, if preferred. 
 

1-credit        Two-day institute                                                            

2-credits       Two-day institute with on-site mentorship, 4-days          

1 credit         Healthy Schools Curriculum–once-a-month class for 6 months  

1 credit         VT FEED by the Seasons –6 sessions, 2 for each of 3 seasons

2 credits        VT FEED Farm to School Summer Institute  at Shelburne Farms
