Ingredients

Pizza dough

 

2 cups flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

2/3 cup milk

1/4 cup olive oil

2 tablespoons maple syrup

2 tablespoons butter

Toppings ingredients

 

Toppings

 

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/ cup diced red onion

1/2 cup apple, peeled and cored

1/2 cup Turnip, sliced into thin coins

1/2 cup Dino kale, chopped

3/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

3/4 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2  tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped

¼ cup olive oil

2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar 

Preparation Instructions

 

Pizza dough directions

Measure all ingredients except for the maple syrup and butter into a bowl.

Stir vigorously until mixture leaves the side of the bowl.

Gather dough together and press into a ball.

Knead dough 10 times until smooth. Divide dough in half.

Roll each half on lightly floured surface into a 10-inch circle.

Line 10-inch cast iron skillet with parchment paper and coat with maple butter mixture.

Cover and bake on stove top at medium/high heat for 45 minutes.

 

Topping directions:

In frying pan, sauté in order, each until lightly golden brown before adding the next ingredient:

·  Garlic and onion

·  Turnip

·  Dinosaur kale

 

Sauce directions:

Puree apple in blender.

In a small bowl, mix apple puree with balsamic vinegar, maple syrup, and fresh rosemary

 

Mix the mozzarella cheese with the cheddar cheese.

 Assemble:

On cooked crust, spread sauce, cheese, then toppings on crust.

Place pan uncovered into oven, bake until cheese is melted.

Remove from oven and, slice and serve.
